Taking farriers from Diploma to Associate level for the Worshipful Company of Farriery exams

With Sarah Logie FWCF

Course details
An intense 26-session online course that guides the student through the syllabus for the AWCF theory exam taking them from Diploma level knowledge up to Associate level.
This course is designed to give students a basis to form their further study around, to fine tune their knowledge and strengthen their exam technique. By the end of the course, they will have covered all the relevant topics prior to sitting the exam. The final session of the course will be a mock exam paper with full feedback.

The student will be provided with access to an online member’s room where the audio book and study material for each session will be posted. There will also be directions for further reading and research, so they develop the skill of information gathering from worldwide specialists in each topic.
They will be given guidance on how to develop their own revision notes for use up until the exam. Self-marked exercises and simple practical tasks will help them relate the theory to their everyday farriery.

Each session will set an exam question which will be submitted by email to Sarah for marking, and feedback will be given on the content and quality of the answer. Each session will be held over a week or two weeks depending on the topic.

There will be four Zoom sessions over the course so that further explanation or discussion can happen in the group with Sarahs input.

The course will start August 26th 2025 and can either be completed by the end of March 2026 in time for the April exam or for a less intense version by June 2026. This gives pupils time to revise and continue practise exam questions if required up to the following October exam.

The course will cost £2700 (plus any fees for overseas money transfers) this can be paid up front or in 4 payments of £775 (£3100 in total). Cost includes a copy of Sarahs book (will be deducted if already bought), access to the audio book and the members room for a year.

Non returnable deposit of £200 to hold a place, with first instalment or payment in full required by 9th July to secure place.
